Dembele was at the forefront of PSG's historic season in 2024-25, finishing as the club's top scorer across all competitions. The pacey forward mentioned Arsenal, his opponents in the Champions League semi-final, in a recent interview with France Football, where he reflected on his best campaign to date.

Dembele produced a season for the ages, and in a new position at that. Indeed, PSG head coach Luis Enrique tweaked his tactics and deployed Dembele in a false nine role centrally. The move paid dividends, as the ex-Barcelona man produced his greatest goal scoring season to date, finding the back of the net 33 times in 49 games. He wreaked havoc against all defences and played a big hand in helping Les Parisiens win every single trophy on offer. His individual displays and immeasurable impact on the collective has made him one of the favourites to lift this year's Ballon d'Or.

Speaking to Dembele was asked which performance from the 2024-25 season he considers to be his best. The Frenchman stated: "It was against Arsenal, in the first leg. I felt good, I think I played a good game. If I hadn't gone off injured, I think I would have had the opportunity to score a second time."
