Rangers are one of the teams interested in Kilmarnock left-back Greg Taylor, according to The Daily Record.
What’s the story?
Taylor has emerged as one of the better left-sided defenders in the country after a great season with Kilmarnock, and understandably has a number of clubs keen on his signature this summer.
The paper report that Hull City are the frontrunners to land him over the next couple of months having scouted him on a number of occasions, but both Rangers and Celtic are also interested in the player.
The report states he is valued at around £400,000, making him a potential signing well within the budget of the recruitment team at Ibrox this summer.

Do Rangers need him?
One of Steven Gerrard’s big signings last summer was made in an effort to directly improve the left-back position. The arrival of Borna Barisic initially looked like a shrewd move, but the Croatian rapidly fell away from the first-team after fitness problems and poor form.
Gerrard’s issue was then not really having viable back-up in the position with just Jon Flanagan getting action there despite being a natural right-back.
Taylor then can give the Rangers boss an exciting option to provide competition for Barisic, negating the need for Flanagan who hasn’t looked up to the required standard since his move from Liverpool.
The Killie man recently made his Scotland debut and is a player on the rise who has proven he can play consistently at Scottish Premiership level.
With other clubs interested and a relatively low valuation, Rangers should do the work required to get this deal over the line.
